Balm Orange Mandarina
Am alternative to traditional lemon Balm, this new variety has a delicate orange scent and flavour, with a slight trailing habit, great planted in raised beds and hanging baskets, but also good used as groundcover.
Can be used as lemon balm is, such as in teas, cooked with fish or added to salads.
The essential oils in Lemon Balm are considered to have antioxidant, anti-viral and calming properties and are used in many aromatherapy practices to help relieve cramps, indigestion, nausea, cold sores, anxiety, stress, insomnia and other sleep and cognitive disorders.
Tip: When preparing Balm tea, keep your cup covered to stop the herb's essential oils evaporating in the steam.
